Avalanche is a smart contracts platform that scales infinitely and regularly finalizes transactions in less than one second. Build anything you want, any way you want on the lightning fast, scalable blockchain that won’t let you down.
With providing lightening fast transaction speeds and a quickly growing ecosystem, Avalanche produces a large amount of data. All of which, can be difficult to keep track of. This is why Avalanche is looking to KYVE to archive their chains in a trustless way. Korellia, KYVE’s devnet, has already validated and permanently archived blockchain data from all three Avalanche chains running on the Primary Network (X, C, and P). Doing so provides a trustless safekeeping of Avalanche’s historical data, bringing forward many benefits for their ecosystem. The data pool has proven to be a success on KYVE’s devnet, however, is not yet in the plans for mainnet.
There are three main ways Avalanche and their ecosystem would benefit from KYVE archiving and validating their chains: As KYVE supports multiple blockchain architectures, inter-chain computation is made easier ; Added data protection due to Arweave’s decentralization ; The data uploaded is available and reliable as the uploaders and validators are incentivized to keep the system healthy. For the KYVE, this expands our trustless data sets and adds more work and incentivization for validators within the network.
